A quoting tool, or the whole business?

Quoterite describe themselves as an AI-powered quoting platform. BUZ has run window furnishings businesses end to end — lead to quote to factory to install to invoice — since 1983. That's the choice, and everything below follows from it.

The whole business, not just the quote

Lead, quote, order, production, dispatch, install and invoice on one thread. The job never leaves the system and nothing gets re-keyed between apps.

Quoterite describes itself as “an AI-powered quoting platform for the window covering industry.” Quoting is one step of nine.

43 years in this trade

BUZ has been built for window furnishings since 1983 — through four decades of how this industry actually makes and installs things.

Their own comparison page dates BUZ to 1983 and introduces their founder as “a 16-year industry veteran.” We have been doing this longer than most of our competitors have existed.

Australian owned, Australian support

Owned and run here, supported by people in your timezone who know what a pelmet is and why a coupled roller matters. Your data is hosted in Australia.

Worth asking any vendor where the company is owned and where the person answering your call sits. It is not stated on their site.

Nothing to pay before you start

No setup fee. Sign yourself up, see the full price list and a calculator on our site, and start.

A$950 one-time setup, published on their pricing page. Their comparison page lists “self-serve signup and published per-seat pricing” among the reasons to choose BUZ.

You configure it, not us

Your products, option rules, pricing grids, workflows and documents are yours to change. Add a fabric range on a Tuesday afternoon without raising a ticket or waiting on a release.

Ask any vendor what happens when you need a new product type or a pricing rule changed — whether you can do it, or whether you join a queue.

Built to be connected to

Native Xero and MYOB, eWAY payments, Google and Microsoft 365 calendars, Power BI over an OData feed, BUZ 2 BUZ supplier ordering, an open REST API, Zapier, and an AI assistant that can query your data.

Their page lists REST API, Zapier, Xero/MYOB and HubSpot among BUZ's integrations.

And it costs less to start

Per-seat pricing makes headline rates meaningless — what you pay depends on your mix of staff. So here are the three shapes most window furnishings businesses actually are, priced on both systems.

Quoterite pricing and description as published on quoterite.com, August 2026. Quoterite: A$950 setup, A$250/month, A$130 per user, installer seats free. BUZ: per-seat with volume tiers, minimum 2 admin licences, no setup fee. Both month-to-month. All figures exclude GST. Prices change — check both sites before deciding.

Running a big install crew? Do your own sums.

Those three shapes cover most of this trade, but not everyone. Quoterite don't charge for installer logins and we do — so once your install crew gets large, past a dozen or so, that can put them ahead of us on price. Theirs is A$250 a month, plus A$130 per admin or sales user, plus A$950 setup, installers free; ours is on our pricing calculator. Put your real numbers through both. If they come out cheaper for you, we'd rather you knew now.

Straight answers

What's the real difference between the two?

Scope. Quoterite calls itself an AI-powered quoting platform. BUZ runs the whole business — the quote is one step, and then the same job carries through ordering, production, dispatch, installation and invoicing without anyone re-typing it. If you only need to price a job faster, that's a narrower problem than the one BUZ solves.

Which is cheaper?

At the sizes most window furnishings businesses actually run — four to eight admin, two to four sales, one to three installers — BUZ works out cheaper over a first year, helped by there being no setup fee. That can flip if you run a large install crew, because Quoterite don't charge for installer logins and we do. Both price lists are public, so put your own headcount through them.

Can I move my data if it doesn't work out?

Yes. Live data pulls into Excel or Power BI over a secure OData feed, there's an open REST API, and if you ever cancel we retain your database for at least 90 days and will hand you a copy on request at no charge. We'd rather you could leave than feel stuck.

Is this page impartial?

No — it's written by BUZ, and you should read it that way. What we've committed to is accuracy: every statement about Quoterite here is quoted from their own website and dated, and we've left in the one place their pricing beats ours. Check both against your own numbers.
