R+T 2027: what to expect, and where to find us

R+T is the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun shading systems. The next one runs at Messe Stuttgart from 15 to 19 February 2027.

It is our first time exhibiting. You will find us in Hall 1 (L-Bank Forum), Stand 1E02.

Three years is a long gap

R+T runs once every three years, not every year. Whatever is on the floor in February is roughly what the industry will be working with until 2030. That is a good reason to go, and a better reason to plan the week properly instead of wandering the halls.

The last one, in 2024, had 1,017 exhibitors and 61,155 visitors across the five days. It is trade-only, so nearly everyone you meet makes, sells or fits this product for a living.

Five days is less time than it sounds

A few things worth knowing before you book:

• Friday finishes at 4pm. The last day is a short one. Do not leave anything important to Friday afternoon.
• Book your meetings before you fly. With over a thousand exhibitors, the stands you most want to see will be the busiest. A booked time costs nothing and saves you queueing.
• You have to register. R+T is for trade visitors — there is no ticket on the door for the public.
• We have free visitor tickets. If you have not sorted yours yet, ask us and we will send you a code.

If you are looking at software while you are there

A trade show is a good place to compare systems and a bad place to buy one. Four questions separate them quickly:

• “Price my product, now.” Not a demo video, not a sample database. If a system cannot price something you actually make while you stand there, you have your answer.
• “What happens after the order is accepted?” Plenty of systems quote well and stop. Ask to see the job reach the factory floor, and then the dispatch run.
• “Who does the setup, and how long does it take?” Your pricing and your products have to go in somehow. Ask who does that work, how long it takes and what it costs.
• “What does this do that a spreadsheet cannot?” If the answer is only that it looks tidier, keep walking.

Ask us the same four. We would rather you did.

What we will be showing

A live demo, not slides. We will quote a real made-to-measure product on the stand — fabric, options, pricing rules — and follow it through to production and dispatch. Bring something you make and we will price it while you watch.

BUZ2BUZ. Wholesalers and their retailers, connected directly. A retailer orders from their own system and it arrives in the wholesaler’s system as a live order — no email, no re-keying, no transcription mistakes. If you supply other businesses, this is the one to ask about.

If we are new to you

BUZ is business management software for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of blinds, awnings, shutters and curtains. One system holds quoting, orders, production, dispatch, scheduling and accounting. We have built software for this industry since 1983, and R+T 2027 is the first time we are showing it in Europe.
